There may be times when a non-muslim wishes to visit a Muslim site, example being on guided tour. A Muslim site could be a Mosque, Kramat (highly important burial site) or a cemetery.

These are some tips on what to do, when deciding to visit a holy site you may require some preparation:

  • By wearing appropriate clothing. For men the need to be covered at least from the waist to knees.
  • Women have wear a longer dress below the knees, or a pants with a top or shirt to cover your private parts. Furthermore you an cover your head shoulders and arms with a scarf or shawl.
  • When entering a mosque, remove yor shoes and enter the mosque with your right foot.
  • When entering a cemetery, do not walk over grave sites, always walk around them.
  • Do not talk loudly.
  • If you are with a tour guide always follow the tour guide's instructions.
